BEIJING -- China's Ministry ofCommerce (MOC) announced on Tuesday temporary anti-dumping measures againstTertiary Butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) imports from India.
Importers of Indian TBHQ should submit cash deposits to Chinese customs fromWednesday, the MOC said.
According to the ministry's investigations, TBHQ from India has been dumpedon the Chinese market and such imports have caused substantial damage to thedomestic industry.
The MOC launched an anti-dumping probe into imported Indian TBHQ on August 22last year.
TBHQ is a kind of antioxidant, which can be used in instant noodles, bacon,dried foodcans and fried food.
